2008 Signs of Zodiac Series - Leo - Silver Proof

This Silver Proof commemorative coin is dedicated to one of 12 Zodiac constellations – Leo.

On the reverse a conventionalized image of a lion with stars around it is depicted, to the left whereof is the shape of constellation, above the lion the Sign of Zodiac symbol is placed, on the right there is a stylized inscription: in Cryllic (Leo Constellation).

On the obverse in the center of the circle there is a conventionalized image of the Sun, on the left, on the right, above and underneath whereof – four lighted by it spheres symbolizing the seasons. To the left of the circle there is the Small National Emblem of Ukraine, to the right – the coin issue year: 2008, as well as the indication of the metal, its fineness – Ag 925, and the coin weight in fineness – 15.55; there are circumferential legends: in Cryllic (National Bank of Ukraine) above and in Cryllic (5 hryvnias) below, as well as the logotype of the National Bank of Ukraine Mint.
